Lighting & Equipment Upgrades
Swapping dated lights and equipment for color LED, variable-speed pumps and app control so the pool is cheaper to run and better to use at night.
Understanding lighting & equipment upgrades
Older pools were built around single-speed pumps and incandescent lights. Both are energy hogs, and the lights burn out on a schedule you can set a calendar by.
An upgrade replaces those with LED fixtures—white or full color—and modern equipment: variable-speed pumps, efficient heaters, and a controller that runs it all from your phone.
Because a renovation already has the pool drained and the pad exposed, it is the cheapest moment to make these changes.
What homeowners notice
- •Pool light is dim, yellowed, flooded or simply dead
- •Single-speed pump that runs loud and drives up the power bill
- •No way to change lights, heat or cleaning times without walking to the pad
- •Equipment that predates the pool's last renovation
- •You want color lighting or scenes for evening use
What Eden does
- 1
Electrical and pad review
We verify bonding, grounding, GFCI protection and existing conduit before recommending fixtures or equipment.
- 2
Fixture and equipment selection
We match LED niches, pump sizing and any automation panel to your pool's volume, features and how you actually use it.
- 3
Installation
Old fixtures and equipment come out, new units are installed and plumbed or wired to code.
- 4
Automation setup
Schedules, lighting scenes and heater setpoints are programmed and linked to the app.
- 5
Walkthrough
We run everything with you at night so you can see the lighting and know how to change it.
Common questions
How long does it take?
A light swap is often same-day; a full equipment and automation upgrade usually takes one to three days.
How long do LED pool lights last?
Typically 15,000-30,000 hours—many years of normal evening use compared to a season or two for incandescent.
What affects the cost?
Number of fixtures, whether existing conduit can be reused, pump and heater sizing, and the automation tier you choose.
